Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible goal helped Al Nassr overcome a 2-0 deficit to defeat Al Shabab 3-2 on Tuesday and maintain their title hopes in the Saudi Pro League.
Ronaldo surged past two players before launching an unstoppable shot into the goal from the edge of the penalty box to give Real Madrid the lead in the 59th minute after Al Nassr had rallied to tie the game early in the second half.
Al Nassr needed the victory to stay in the Saudi Pro League championship race going into the last two games of the season. Ronaldo’s 14th league goal in 15 appearances was enough to give Al Nassr the victory. Leaders Al Ittihad also won. After 28 of the 30 rounds, Al Nassr is three points behind Al Ittihad.

Earlier, it appeared as though Al Nassr’s aspirations would be dashed when Al Shabab seized a 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to two goals, one of which was a penalty, from Argentine Cristian Guanca of Al Shabab.
A minute before halftime, though, Brazilian Anderson Talisca scored a goal to bring the home team back into the game. In the 51st minute, Abdulrahman Ghareeb equalised the score with a deft move and strike from six yards, and Ronaldo then worked his trademark magic to seal the triumph.
