Currently, the CoA comprises of three members – Bhaskar Ganguly, SY Qureshi and Anil Dave. They are working to set up the new constitution for AIFF, which is expected to be in place by the end of September. However, given that the control has now shifted hands and Indian football is being managed by a court-appointed body, the boys in blue are also under threat of a potential ban from FIFA.
The CoA involvement is seen as “third-party interference”, which does not go hand-in-hand with the policies of FIFA. Hence, delegates from FIFA and AFC will visit India very soon to inspect the situation first-hand.

“The visit was scheduled to happen from June 11 to June 14 but was delayed because AFC wanted to send its top officials. It’s a high-level team and shows that India is a very important country. Hopefully things will be clear once the officials speak with the (CoA) officials,” a source told Times of India.
Meanwhile, speaking to the reporters, SY Quraishi said “In our meeting with FIFA and AFC delegates, we want to dispel any misconception they might have about this process. Hopefully, the meeting will be very productive. I have no doubt that Fifa has our interest at heart. They are reasonable people.”
The General Secretary of the AFC, Datuk Seri Windsor John will be leading the delegation. Besides him, AFC’s deputy General Secretary Vahid Kardany and FIFA’s Senior Manager Sara Solemale will also be visiting India.
