The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is on the hunt for a new leader! Following Igor Stimac’s departure, they’ve officially opened applications for the coveted position of Head Coach for the Men’s Senior and U23 National Teams.

The successful candidate will shoulder the responsibility of guiding both the Indian Football team senior and U23 teams towards achieving key objectives. These include qualification for major tournaments like the FIFA World Cup, AFC Asian Cup, and SAFF Championship, along with a strong showing at the 2026 Asian Games.

The Head Coach will wear many hats. From player selection and team preparation to match strategies and team culture, they’ll be at the forefront of shaping India’s footballing future.
Regular reporting to the AIFF Secretary General and Technical Committee ensures close collaboration for overall team development.

AIFF Coach: Qualifications
A minimum of 10-15 years of coaching experience at the elite level, preferably with a proven track record of success, is a must. An AFC/UEFA Pro license or equivalent qualification is mandatory. Experience as a player, while not essential, would be a valuable asset.
