The Winter Transfer window is underway and there are teams who face tough decisions regarding player contracts. Be it Manchester United’s tough situation with Marcus Rashford or Arsenal’s worry with Thomas Partey and Jorginho. Here we take a look at 5 teams who are suffering from contract dilemmas.

Arsenal

Premier League giants Arsenal are now in a fit of bother. Both central midfielders Thomas Partey and Jorginho are out of contract in the next 6 months. And this means if the Gunners are unable to renew the contracts then they should make the best use of this winter transfer window to buy some new midfielders.

Manchester United

Manchester United too will be looking to loan or sell some of their players, Casemiro and Antony are all available in the transfer market. However, ace forward Marcus Rashford looks to be on the way out. The Red Devils are eager to look for a loan deal for their star forward in hopes of the player getting some game time in Europe.

Manchester City

The biggest concern for Manchester City is their midfield. Ilkay Gundogan joined last summer on a year’s deal which now expires this summer. With 6 months remaining, the club has to take a call. More importantly, the crisis is with ace midfielder Kevin de Bruyne who is in the last 6 months of his contract. The Belgian has already attracted offers from MLS and the Saudi Pro League.

Liverpool

Liverpool is in a very tight spot as three key players have 6 months left on their contracts. These are Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold. The right-back has been touted by Real Madrid for quite some time despite Liverpool rejecting the offers. The departure of Van Dijk and Salah will also be a huge problem for the side both in the attack and defense front. Furthermore, as per reports, forward Luis Diaz also rejected a contract renewal much to the added worry.

Chelsea

The London Blues have a decision to make. Would they leave Ben Chilwell or not? The English left-back hasn’t featured this season in the League and is desperate for a move-out. However, his high wages can be a problem for the club to sell the player.
