Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea: German manager Thomas Tuchel was sacked in September 2022 by Chelsea despite producing good results in the past for the club. Tuchel recently opened up about the sacking and mentioned that the meeting, where he was fired, lasted only around 3-5 minutes, that too at 8 am. Tuchel’s sacking shocked everyone including the Chelsea fans and the manager himself. Follow Premier League Live Updates on InsideSport.IN.
The 49-year-old has recently announced the successor of Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich. In an interview, he said, “It was a shock. The meeting only lasted 3-5 minutes at eight in the morning. We all thought we were on the right track and had more time to build something. Now I have found a new challenge. We had a good relationship with people there (Chelsea). I still have a lot of friends at Chelsea and that’s not going to change.”
Chelsea was truly on the right path under Thomas Tuchel. The German manager took over the role in mid-season and helped them win the UEFA Champions League in a such short time. The same season Chelsea appeared in the FA Cup finals against Leicester. Tuchel turned, what was a disastrous season for Chelsea into winning trophies in just 6 months.
In the following season, he failed to win any trophy in England but the Blues appeared in two league club finals. They also won the FIFA Club World Cup.

Chelsea started the 2022-23 season slowly, and the new owners were not very much pleased with it. Tuchel also had fallen out with several first-team players, which eventually led to the sack. Tuchel ended his Chelsea career with 60 wins, 24 draws, and 16 defeats in 100 games with a win percentage of 60%, the fourth highest win-rate by a Chelsea manager who managed at least 100 games
Graham Potter took the charge after that, and despite inconsistent results, he has been backed by the new owners.
Tuchel on the other hand, is now in charge of Bayern Munich. Bayern are favorites to win the UCL this season and Tuchel will hope to win the trophy once again in the same way he did at Chelsea.
