Spurs Chief FIFA BAN: Tottenham Hotspur have started looking for their new manager as soon as they ended their relationship with ex-coach Antonio Conte. This search was being led by the managing director, Fabio Paratici who was already fighting a case that threatened his involvement with the matter. FIFA has now released a statement that said that Paratici will be banned from all football activities around the world. Follow Premier League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN
Before coming to Tottenham Hotspur, Fabio Paratici spent over a decade of his career at Juventus. There, he provided the club with his skills as a technical affairs head, sporting director, and then managing director from 2010-2021. However, he along with a few other Juventus officials was hit with charges of arranging a transfer scam.
The verdict for this case came at the end of January when FIFA announced that all the involved parties will get a 30 months ban from Italian football. Additionally, Juventus got a 15-point reduction this season as a punishment. The fear was looming that the ban would be extended to English football and as expected Italian FA did appeal to FIFA to extend the ban worldwide.
FIFA granted Italian FA’s request and released the statement, “Fifa can confirm that following a request by the Italian FA (FIGC), the chairperson of Fifa disciplinary committee has decided to extend the sanctions imposed by FIGC on several football officials to have worldwide effect.”

Fabio Paratici, Juventus, and all other involved officials have denied any wrongdoings and have said that they will appeal the verdict. However, as the situation stands now, Paratici will not be able to partake in any football activities worldwide for the next 2 and a half years. As per the terms of this ban, he will not be able to directly negotiate or talk to agents for transfers or other purposes.
However, he will be able to be involved with the club’s internal affairs, like attending internal club meetings. However, that will be the limitation to his involvement. This puts a large dent in Spurs’ search for their next manager as Fabio Paratici was heading the hunt. Tottenham Hotspur even held an interview with Paratici a few days ago after parting ways with Antonio Conte. He said that the split “was the right decision for everyone.” This proves how significant of a part he plays in the matter.
