Premier League Hall of Fame: Premier League is one of the most renowned and famous football leagues in the world. The league has witnessed some of the legendary players participating in it. Moreover, many of the players went on to become the greats of the game. To honor the contribution and influence of some of the greats, Premier League introduced the Hall of Fame in 2021. These 15 players are:

- Sol Campbell
- Michael Carrick
- Petr Cech
- Andrew Cole
- Ashley Cole
- Jermain Defoe
- Les Ferdinand
- Rio Ferdinand
- Robbie Fowler
- Gary Neville
- Michael Owen
- John Terry
- Yaya Toure
- Nemanja Vidic
Out of these 15, three of them will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, based on fans’ votes. Fans can vote at www.premierleague.com/halloffame and via the official Premier League app. Voting will be closed on 10th April by 6 PM. Further, on May 3, the three names will be announced, who will be joining the Hall of Fame.
For eligibility, players must have retired by 1 January 2023. Moreover, only a player’s Premier League career is considered in their candidacy, not their performances in other competitions during the Premier League era. It is determined whether a player meets the Hall of Fame selection criteria based on his or her Premier League career statistics as well as the voting data from previous Hall of Fame shortlists in 2021 and 2022.

Currently, there are 16 members in the Hall of Fame and recently, two managers were inducted into it for the first time. Manchester United’s manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, and Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger were inducted into the Hall of Fame as managers in March this year.
In the year 2021, David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, and Alan Shearer were inducted into the Hall of fame. Sergio Agüero, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Wayne Rooney, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Patrick Vieira, and Ian Wright followed them in 2022.
