Marcel Sabitzer Transfer: Premier League side Manchester United is keen on signing Marcel Sabitzer permanently next summer. The Austrian is currently playing for United on loan from Bayern Bunic. The Red Devils signed Sabitzer on a loan on the deadline day of the winter transfer window after Eriksen got injured against Reading. Since then, he has appeared 11 times for United in all competitions and has scored 1 goal. Follow Premier League News Updates on InsideSport.IN.
Sabitzer was not in the plans of former Bayern Munich’s manager, Julian Nagelsamnn. Lack of playing time under the German boss landed him at Old Trafford. Moreover, the United board is keen on making the transfer permanent next summer as the situation under the new Bayern boss, Thomas Tuchel is expected to be the same.
It is reported that the German club will also not force the player to stay if they receive a good amount from the Premier League side. The Red Devils will try to sign the 29-year midfielder for a bargain fee of €16 million, which Bayern paid to RB Leipzig in 2021 to sign him.
How Does Marcel Sabitzer Fit In Manchester United’s Midfield?
Despite having big names like Christian Eriksen and Casemiro in their squad, United have looked vulnerable in the midfield. The Brazilian nearly missed 7 games due to red cards, whereas Eriksen missed around 3 months of football due to injury. To tackle situations like these, a trustworthy name that comes to mind is Marcel Sabitzer.

The Austrian has stepped up on big occasions this season to fill those voids created by Eriksen and Casemiro’s absence. United are considering selling Scott McTominay and Fred next summer and boosting their midfield. There are several other names linked with the Premier League side next season, but Sabitzer’s permanent deal is one of United’s top priorities.
Sabitzer recently assisted Rashford in the only goal against Brentford, which saw United back in the top 4. He scored his first goal with a skillful finish against Fulham in FA Cup.
