Manchester United: Things haven’t been great on the field in the Premier League for the Red Devils. In their last three games, they have only managed a total of 1 POINT out of a possible 9. Their latest game against Newcastle was a very important one as they both are fighting for the top-four places. A 2-0 win for the Magpies means that Newcastle United leaped over Man United to third place on goal difference. After the game, Antony and Diogo Dalot were arguing over something on the pitch. Skipper Bruno Fernandes also seemed to be rallying the troops to go over and clap the away supporters. Follow Manchester United Football Club LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN
Erik ten Hag will be fuming that his team has seemed to ease off in the last three games in the League. A 7-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool, then came the draw against Southampton at home, and now, a 2-0 loss against Newcastle. Second-half goals from Joe Willock and Callum Wilson condemned United to their latest disappointment in the Premier League.
It was a miserable afternoon all-round for United, with many fans questioning Ten Hag’s decision to leave out Fred. Lisandro Martinez failed to hide his frustration at being subbed off as he was seen punching the dug-out after being removed by Erik ten Hag.

Right after the final whistle, a host of United players were seen just trudging off the field. The loss seemed to have made them forget to appreciate the fans who had made the trip to St. James’ Park. Bruno Fernandes was having none of that. He was enraged and was spotted blasting his teammates for the same.
He ordered the players to follow him and go and appreciate the away fans. It seemed as though the anger did not stop there. Sky Sports cameras spotted the right-back, Diogo Dalot, and winger, Antony, who had been subbed off near the end, engaged in an argument. While this is normal after a loss, United’s sudden crumble in the League is concerning.
Erik ten Hag’s words after the defeat
United’s coach did not hold back while speaking after their second loss in the last three games in the League. He said, ‘I hate to say it but they were better today – especially their determination, passion and desire. They wanted to win more so they won. We had our opportunities but then you have to go for goal with the determination they did. It wasn’t good enough. We allowed them too many chances. You have to be hungry and give everything every game.’

He continued, ‘Our attacking game wasn’t good enough. I don’t want to focus on one person. It was a team performance. We were not happy. We played too high in midfield and it was easy for their two centre-halves to go and attack. We had to play a little bit deeper. Therefore we made the sub. Then we made changes to bring more energy.’
He ended by saying, ‘We have to deal with the setback and learn a lesson. So many times recently, we came back after Liverpool. I don’t have that concern. I believe in the team. I believe we’ll bounce back.’
