Manchester United Takeover: Manchester United takeover saga continues as it is speculated that none of the beds coming from Jim Ratcliffe or Sheik Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani are anywhere near the £6 billion valuation given by the Glazers. Recently both bidders were given presentations at the Man United home Old Trafford. There were claims from both sides that they would change their bids. There have been many rumours regarding the Manchester United sale since it went on the market. As per the way it is going now people are doubtful whether the Glazers are ready to sell the club entirely or not. A soft deadline was given to the bidders back in February. However, after that both Ratcliffe and Sheik Jassim came to Old Trafford and attended presentations that included business plans from Man United officials and financial details.
Both bidders left the meeting happy and there were many claims that both will increase their bids significantly. Jim Ratcliffe has already put forth his bid for the club on Thursday. Sheik Jassim will apparently follow through with his bid on Friday. However, both bids will be at least £1 billion short of the valuation given by the Glazers.
The new deadline for the bidders has been set for Friday afternoon. If the Glazers do accept the £5 billion bids from any party, it will still be a record-breaking sum. Many other bidders who agreed to buy smaller stakes in the club also received their presentations at the same time. One of them is the former AC Milan owner, Elliott Investment Management.

If the Glazers don’t agree with any bids given by either Jim Ratcliffe or Sheik Jassim, there is a chance that they could go ahead selling small stakes to investors like Eliott. There has even been a statement about Thomas Ziliacus, a Finnish entrepreneur who said that he wants to buy half the club for £3 billion. He further said that he’s relying on 1 billion Man United fans worldwide to pay £3 each to buy the remaining half of the club. Many sources closer to the process have told the media that the whole thing is not being taken seriously.
