Manchester United TAKEOVER: Manchester United SALE –  The ongoing takeover saga of Manchester United continues to take unexpected turns with each passing day. Reports have emerged that Elliott Management, which previously owned AC Milan have bid to take a minority stake in Manchester United that could see Glazers’s rein continue at Old Trafford. While fans have long been calling for the Glazer family to sell their ownership, the recent offer from Elliott could mean that United could remain in the hands of the current owners. Elliott Management has expressed interest in purchasing a minor stake in United. The hedge fund is keen to work with the Glazers as part of their bid, which involves establishing a way for global fans to hold an ownership stake in the club, enabling public shareholders to take at least a 50% stake. The hedge fund has insisted the fans will be a key part of their vision for the team.

This potential development has raised concerns among some fans, who have been vocal in their desire to see the Glazer family sell the club. However, Elliott’s offer suggests that the Glazers may not be willing to sell unless bidders match their £6bn valuation.

The involvement of a hedge fund also raises questions about the future direction of the club. While Elliott Management has stated its intention to work with the Glazers, it remains to be seen how much influence they will have over the club’s operations and decision-making.

Meanwhile, Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim is planning a revised bid to buy Manchester Utd for full ownership. Sheikh and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are scrambling to work out their next move.
