The win helped Real Madrid close the gap on league leaders Barcelona to 12 points, and Benzema’s impressive performance saw him move up to second place in the league’s top scorers’ chart.

Benzema’s goal spree began in the 30th minute of the game, just eight minutes after Rodrygo had opened the scoring for Real Madrid. The French striker headed a cross from Vinicius Jr. He then went on to create the second goal for Real Madrid, laying off a pass to allow his strike partner to score from the edge of the box. Benzema wasn’t done there, though, and completed his hat trick with a spectacular bicycle kick.

The victory was an important one for Real Madrid, who have had a disappointing season by their high standards. They will be hoping to build on this result and put together a winning run to close the gap on Barcelona at the top of the table.

Real Valladolid, on the other hand, will be disappointed with their performance, as they fell to their second straight defeat in La Liga. They are currently in 16th place, just one point above the relegation zone, and will need to improve quickly if they are to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.
