Sources claim that there are serious worries over training locations. The Medical College ground, Devagiri College ground, and Farook College ground will be the three training locations in Kozhikode, the AIFF first notified all clubs. Since that two of these locations are probably not suitable for training, the organisers are looking at alternate locations including the Calicut University, which has two grounds.

The two training facilities that have been shortlisted for teams playing in Manjeri are Kottappadi Stadium in Malappuram and Seethi Haji Stadium in Edavanna. The Seethi Haji Stadium’s accessibility is a problem, though. The two locations in Kozhikode and Manjeri were chosen by the local organisers, Kerala Football Association (KFA), whereas the Nehru Stadium in Kochi, where Kerala Blasters play their home games in the Indian Super League, was left out (ISL). The stadium won the prize for having the best pitch, and there are also excellent practise fields accessible.
