FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023: FIFA already declared that Women’s World Cup 2023 will be the biggest and best in history. With only 100 days left for the tournament to kick off in New Zealand and Australia, organizers have predicted a record-breaking ticket sale of 1.5 million. 650000 tickets have already been sold before they could start the final phase of the sale. Only 100 days remain for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 to kick off in July. The competition will span for two months with 32 teams. The number of teams has increased from 24 to 32 as well as the prized money which FIFA President Gianni Infantino has pledged to be more than US $150 million. This amount is three times more than the Women’s World Cup 2019.

During the 2023 FIFA Congress, Gianni Infantino said, “It’s a women’s year.  A celebration of football, a celebration of women’s football, a celebration of progress, a celebration of equality. A feast for everyone. It will not be tarnished by any other topic. Today, embarking on a historic journey for women’s football and for equality. This will lead us on a path to equal pay.”

With such improvement and progression, the tournament is also attracting a huge audience. Fans are showing their will to support their teams by being present in the stadiums with 650000 tickets having been sold before the final phase of the sale. The final phase of the sale has now started and fans can book their seats from fifa.com/tickets.

Tickets for matches throughout the tournament are available and single-match passes are also available. The tickets for adults are priced at AU/NZ $20 and for kids, it’s priced at AU/NZ $10. This will be the last chance to grab the tickets to the biggest Women’s World Cup history as FIFA secretary general Fatma Samoura said, “Fifa’s mission is to organise the biggest and best Women’s World Cup in history this year.”

The second match of the opening day will be between the host Australia against the Republic of Ireland on July 20. This is the debut year for Ireland’s team and it seems that it’s already gained huge popularity. The match was due to be held at the Sydney Football Stadium which has a capacity of 42500. However, there have been staggering ticket demands which have caused a venue change.

Now the match has been moved to the tournament’s biggest venue, Stadium Australia which has almost the double capacity of Sydney Football Stadium with 83500 seats. Reigning champions, the United States team will begin their campaign against Vietnam on July 22. Euro Cup winners England will begin their campaign the same day against Haiti. Whereas, Copa America winners Brazil will begin their campaign on July 24 against Panama.
