Andrew “BraveAF” Gorchakov, a Russian youth, has been added to Fnatic’s VALORANT lineup, the club announced today. The club had been without a player since December 2021, when they benched Domagoj “Doma” Fancev just days after being ousted in the quarterfinals of VCT Champions by underdog KRÜ Esports. Since February 2021, when Fnatic signed SUMN FC’s roster, the Croatian player has been a member of the organisation. BraveAF, VCT EMEA, Fnatic Valorant Roster, VCT 2022

Fnatic had a strong showing in the 2021 season, starting with VCT 2021 – Stage 2 – Masters Reykjavik and continuing through VCT 2021 – VALORANT Champions 2021. The organization kept the same roster throughout the year to develop their synergy, however they parted ways with Doma, who has joined TENSTAR. It is now up to the Russian youngster to show Europe what he is worth.

“For 2022, we wanted to switch roles to give Boaster more versatility as an IGL support player,” Mini explained. “When we were looking for a confident Sova player, Brave embodied both the qualities we admire in-game: amazing aim and smart utility utilization, as well as the qualities we value outside of the game: a desire to develop and being a pleasant teammate. We believe we have acquired another very competent player with tremendous potential, similar to our past acquisitions.”

Braveaf has played with a variety of teams, beginning with Team Empire in 2020 and more recently with Team Finest and One Breath Gaming. The Russian player has previously competed in a number of competitions, including VCT 2021 – Stage 1 – CIS Masters. For the past three months, he has a 1.21 rating and a 240.5 ACS. Doma began his Fnatic career by playing Raze and Sage, but later moved to Skye for the majority of the games. Fortunately, braveaf has 33 Skye games under his belt, making him the second most-used agent after Sova. Fnatic will debut with BraveAF in VCT EMEA: Stage One Challengers next month.
