Another day and Virat Kohli made everyone go gaga over his supreme fitness skills. During the Yo-Yo test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, the legendary batter registered 17.2. Like he always does, Kohli led the way when it comes to fitness department and hardly broke a sweat. The 35-year-old uploaded a story on Instagram and captioned the post, “The happiness of finishing Yo-Yo test between the dreaded cones, 17.2 done.”
For the uninitiated, the Yo-Yo test is mandatory for players in the Indian team, and bCCI has set 16.5 to pass the fitness test. The Yo-Yo test is a 2-km time circuit trail, which is taken to test the speed and endurance of players. It is a rule BCCI has been following for several years now. Kohli is one of the Indian cricketers to always be at the top of the charts in the Yo-Yo test.
Kohli and a few of the other players, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Shami, and Siraj have reached Bangalore for a training camp ahead of the Asia Cup 2023. The continental Cup will commence from August 30.

Virat Kohli: Action shifts to Asia Cup for Kohli as the batter eyes big runs
Speaking about Kohli after a short break, he is rejuvenated and is looking forward to the Asia Cup. During the West Indies series, the right-hand batter did not get enough game time as he faced zero balls in the three-match ODI series against Windies. The right-hand batter was also rested in two ODIs as Dravid and skipper Rohit Sharma wanted to experiment.
There won’t be any scope for experiments for team India as after the Continental Cup, team India plays only three ODIs against Australia before World Cup 2023 commences from October 5. There were talks that Kohli will bat at number four, but with the return of Shreyas Iyer, Kohli will bat at number three only. India kick off the Continental Cup by playing against Pakistan on September 2.
