FIH Pro League Season 5 Schedule OUT, India to host ‘home leg’ from 3rd February

The schedule for the fifth edition of the FIH Pro League 2023-24 has been released by the International Hockey Federation. India will host a series of matches at Odisha from 3rd to 25th February.

The schedule for the fifth edition of the FIH Pro League 2023-24 was released by the International Hockey Federation on Thursday. Argentina and Great Britain – women and men – will launch season 5 of the FIH Hockey Pro League on 6 December 2023 in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. India will host a series of matches at Odisha from 3rd to 25th February.

The fifth edition of the FIH Pro League will feature six mini tournaments.. Argentina will host the first two mini tournaments at Santiago Del Estero from 6th to 11th December. Buenos Aries will then play host from 14 to 19th February.

India will host the mini tournament from 3rd to 25th February. The matches will be played at Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. Both the Indian Men and Women’s team will be in action in the tournament this year. Belgium, Great Britain and Netherlands will host the next three mini tournaments in the month of June.

  • Buenos Aires, Argentina (14-19 February 2024)
  • Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, India (3-25 February 2024)
  • Antwerp, Belgium (22 May-2 June 2024)
  • Lee Valley, Great Britain (1-12 June 2024)
  • Utrecht and Amsterdam, Netherlands (22-30 June 2024)

Indian women’s team, the winner of the inaugural Nations Cup will open their campaign against China and the Netherlands in Bhubaneswar, on February 3, 2024. Indian men’s team, meanwhile, will kickstart their campaign against Spain on February 10.

  • 3rd February – India vs China – Bhubaneshwar
  • 7th February – India vs Australia – Bhubaneshwar
  • 9th February – India vs USA – Bhubaneshwar
  • 12th February – India vs China – Rourkela
  • 14th February – India vs Netherlands – Rourkela
  • 17th February – India vs Australia – Rourkela
  • 18th February – India vs USA – Rourkela

India Men’s Schedule

  • 10th February – India vs Spain – Bhubaneshwar
  • 11th February – India vs Netherlands – Bhubaneshwar
  • 15th February – India vs Australia – Bhubaneshwar
  • 16th February – India vs Ireland – Bhubaneshwar
  • 19th February India vs Spain – Rourkela
  • 21st February – India vs Netherlands – Rourkela
  • 24th February – India vs Australia – Rourkela

The upcoming season will also bring a promotion and relegation system into effect for the first time. Teams finishing in the bottom two spots will relegate to the Nations League. The winners of the FIH Pro League will secure a direct spot in the men’s and women’s World Cup to be held in 2026.
