‘Of course, it’s strange. It’s not exactly the time we want to be playing in the World Cup.’ said Bruno while talking about the World Cup. Further, he added, ‘For fans and players, kids will be in school and people will be working. The timing will not be the best for the people to watch games.’
We are already seeing the effects of the World Cup with the whole football calendar being shifted around to accommodate this one event. Add to this the fact that several players have gotten injured due to the hectic scheduling in the first half of the season, footballers are bound to be unhappy.

He continued by saying, ‘These kind of things should not happen at any time, but for a World Cup, which is a party for fans, players and something that is a joy, should be done in a better way.’
As the Qatar World Cup inches closer, more players and officials are expected to call out FIFA. It has already been termed bizarre to have an unorthodox World Cup during the end of the year in Qatar.
