FIFA WC England Squad: FIFA World Cup – England manager Gareth Southgate has announced the 26-man Squad that will travel to Qatar to take part in the FIFA World Cup. The Euro 2020 runners-up have been plagued with injuries that see Reece James, Ben Chilwell, among others missing the squad for the three lions. Kyle Walker who is recovering from his injury has been added to the squad while Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford gets a surprise inclusion. England has been in poor form off late and has been relegated to Group B of the UEFA Nations Cup after failing to make it to the knockouts of the Nations League. Southgate will hope to keep his side’s poor form aside and concentrate on the upcoming major tournament. Back in 2018, England put up a good show when they reached the semi-finals and eventually finished fourth in the tournament.

Both wingbacks Reece James and Ben White miss the Qatar World Cup on account of the injuries that they suffered while playing for Chelsea. It was a race against time for both the Chelsea side backs. Manchester City’s midfielder Kalvin Phillips makes the squad after undergoing shoulder surgery.
Manchester United’s forward Marcus Rashford gets a call after regaining his form in the Premier League while fellow compatriot Jadon Sancho misses out owing to an injury. The Three Lions have huge firepower in their attack with the likes of skipper Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden in their squad.
