Right arm off spinner Nathan Lyon (94 at 34.75 in 22 games) will complete 100 wickets in Tests against India if he collects 6 wickets in the first Test.
After Muttiah Muralidaran (105 at 32.61 in 22 Tests) and James Anderson (139 at 24.89 in 35 Tests), he will be the third bowler overall to achieve this feat against India. He will be the first Australian bowler to do so.
In Tests against India, Muralidaran and Lyon each amassed seven five-wicket hauls. Lyon might set a new record if he takes five wickets in an innings once again during the upcoming series and Nagpur Test.
