Chelsea headed into the tunnel as a frustrated team after failing to find the back of the net against Crystal Palace in the all-important FA Cup Semi-Finals. None of the teams initially showed their interest to gain the upper hand in an uneventful first half. Chelsea has dominated possession of the ball and has effectively won the battle of the midfield but has failed disastrously to play forward balls into the opponent’s box.

However, an inspired performance from Chelsea saw them snatch victory against a toothless Palace side. Starting positively from the very first minute of the second half, Chelsea attacked relentlessly. Palace certainly invited their own problems by playing a low-block defense.

The substitute Ruben Loftus-Cheek opened the scoring for Chelsea after the hour mark. Back-to-back positive changes changed the tide for the London Blues. Mason Mount pulled off a sublime goal 15 minutes before full-time to finally put a seal on the tie. Chelsea with this victory will face Liverpool who defeated Manchester City 3-2 in the FA Cup finals in Wembley.
