F1 Pre-season Testing: George Russell tops on the final day: Mercedes driver George Russell topped the timesheet on the final day of the pre-season testing in Barcelona. First, it was Alpine’s Fernando Alonso who stopped with smoke emerging from the back of his car (A522). Then it was Pierre Gasly who brought out the second pause of the day. He crashed at turn 5 causing front wing and suspension damage. Guanyu Zhou then stopped in the gravel at turn 10 soon after Gasly’s incident.

The session was again halted when Zhou crawled to a halt on a main straight. Last but not the least, Sebastian Vettel stopped with just five minutes remaining on the clock.

The veteran Sebastian Vettel finished P3 as he clocked a time of 1m 19.824s. Vettel completed 48 laps around the circuit. Charles Leclerc finished P4 in his Ferrari as he clocked a time of 1m 19.831s. Leclerc completed 44 laps around the circuit.

Lando Norris, who topped the timesheet on Day 1 finished P6. He clocked a time of 1m 20.827s and only managed just five laps in his MCL36. Norris was the only driver with the least number of laps. Fernando Alonso, who drives for Alpine finished P7 and clocked a time of 1m 21.242s. Alonso completed just 12 laps.
Timings of the respected drivers on the final day of the pre-season testing in BarcelonaGuanyu Zhou, the rookie driver for Alfa Romeo finished P8 and clocked a time of 1m 21.939s. Zhou completed 41 laps around the circuit. AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly finished P9 as he clocked a time of 1m 22.469s. Gasly completed 40 laps around the circuit.

Alex Albon, the new driver for Williams this year finished P10 as he clocked a time of 1m 22.652s. Albon completed 21 laps around the circuit. Haas’ driver Nikita Mazepin finished last at P11 and clocked a time of 1m 26.229s. Mazepin only managed 9 laps and was the second driver with the least number of laps.
