Red Bulls Max Verstappen had a great day in the office as he secured his second pole position of the season after a great flying lap. He was followed by Fernando Alonso in the second spot and Carlos Sainz, who is desperate for a good result under his belt finished third overall.

Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton took home the fourth spot as he had a great day today after struggling in the FP1 and FP2 sessions. He was followed by both the Haas drivers as Kevin Magnussen took home the fifth spot and Mick Schumacher settled for the sixth position.

Alpine’s Esteban Ocon also had a great day in the office as he took home the seventh spot. Mercedes’ George Russell couldn’t do much in the qualifying session as he settled for the eighth spot and was followed by McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo in the ninth position. Meanwhile, Guanyu Zhou took home the tenth spot.

Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas who struggled yesterday didn’t have a great outing today as he took home the eleventh spot. He was followed by William’s Alex Albon in the twelfth position as Sergio Perez had to settle for a thirteenth place finish. Perez struggled big time for the race pace today as he was not able to show his class on a wet track.

McLaren’s Lando Norris was reeling behind in the fourteenth spot and he was followed by Charles Leclerc in the fifteenth position. Meanwhile, Leclerc will start tomorrow’s race after enduring a grid penalty.

AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly after having a great weekend last time around in Baku had to settle for the sixteenth spot. The big disappointment came in the form of Sebastian Vettel as he got eliminated in the Q1 session and will start tomorrow’s race down in the seventeenth spot.

He was followed by the home hero Lance Stroll who settled for the eighteenth position. Nicholas Latifi couldn’t do much either as he finished nineteenth overall and lastly, it was Yuki Tsunoda who finished last in the twentieth spot. He will too take a grid penalty in tomorrow’s race.
