xQc’s reaction was a result of a Bloomberg article that he was reading on livestream.

xQc Twitch gambling: Former Overwatch pro denies promoting gambling links on livestream

On a recent livestream, former Overwatch pro, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel was reacting to a Bloomberg article that spoke about the effects of gambling on Twitch. The streamer was mentioned several times throughout the article, and at one point, the article mentioned that xQc had shared a promotion code that brought $119 million to Stake.

“In May, Lengyel said the promotion code he shared on Twitch brought $119 million to Stake.”

xQc vehemently protested against these claims, and pulled up his statistics to prove that the data shared in the article was actually false.

“That is me. These are my statistics. These are mine, not anybody else’s. These are my stats, not the viewers’. It’s completely incorrect.”

xQc explained that the amount referred to in the article was simply the wager amount, and not the actual amount that he had gambled. However, the data also revealed that since May 2022, the popular Twitch streamer had wagered $685,075,984 while gambling. xQc confirmed that he had gambled over $500 million since May 2022, and seemed to be quite unfazed, saying that the amount was not that much anyway.

However, he actively denied having promoted any gambling links on his livestream, and went ahead to bash the journalist for spreading misinformation about him.

“So if you think your due diligence as a journalist is to review the evidence before writing an article about it, I would assume you would do your job right and do some of the things correctly and go to the motions to make sure that your big f**king hit pieces and big numbers are not incorrect.”

He even went on to state that he had never promoted any gambling codes on his livestreams either.

“That is massive stupid. And I never promoted the f**king code either.”

xQc has always maintained that he does not promote gambling to his fans, even if he indulges in the same himself.

xQc has openly admitted that he is addicted to gambling

xQc has always admitted that he has a gambling addiction. During his first ever podcast with Pokimane, the streamer explained that he had an addiction to gambling, and he truly enjoyed the same. He even revealed the massive amount of money he had lost while gambling offline as well.

He debunked the rumor that he was only spending sponsor money on gambling, stating that he invested his own money. However, he also actively keeps remindign his fans to not get influenced by his activities, stating that the only reason he gambled was because he could afford it and enjoyed it. He even maintained that he never promotes gambling to his viewers and does not share links and promotional codes on his livestreams.
