Finally, all the Matches of EMEA Closed Qualifiers have ended, and we now know who will compete in the VCT: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers on February 11th. Acend, Gambit Esports, Team Liquid, and Fnatic were given direct invites to the forthcoming EMEA Challengers, while the other eight teams had to play in the EMEA Closed Qualifiers. The number of teams that will qualify for Stage 1 Masters and the final prize money is both unknown at this time, but we’re confident Riot will publish all of the details when the time comes. The favourites in this group are Gambit and Team Liquid, and we expect both of them to qualify for the playoffs. BIG and FunPlus Phoenix will compete for third place in a coin toss. Although Natus Vincere and LDN UTD have the potential to surprise us and finish higher on the list, the Valorant betting odds are stacked against them.

While group A will undoubtedly draw a lot of attention from Valorant fans, we expect all of the best Valorant action to take place in group B. Fnatic, G2 Esports, SuperMassive Blaze, Guild Esports, and BBL Esports will compete against Acend, the VCT 2021 World Champions. It’ll be a true battleground, and no esports wagers are permitted.

The top three teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, which will take place in late March, and determine EMEA’s teams for the first international event in 2022. Teams that did not qualify for the new league will compete in the promotion tournament for a chance to play in the new league. However, in order to qualify for the promotion event, players must perform well in the new VALORANT Regional Leagues, which begin with their own qualifying tournament this month.
