Twitch streamer HasanAbi expressed his dislikings towards NFTs, calling it “copy-paste” art – Needless to say, NFTs have created quite the hype in recent times. However, it’s also facing backlashes from big personalities and streamers who didn’t mince any words about NFTs just in general. Recently, Twitch streamer HasanAbi took a dig at people for their NFT craze, comparing it with a “pyramid scheme”.
Basically, NFTs are nonfungible tokens that are minted and verified on the blockchain that they are based on. NFTs can range from anything as simple as a digital stroke of line or as complex as a 3D visualizer of your whole city. Meanwhile many are of the opinion that it is less of an art and more of a scam.
Twitch streamer HasanAbi expressed his dislikings towards NFTs, calling it “copy-paste” artHasanAbi made fun of the popularly trending NFT Bored Apes as he couldn’t make sense of the insane amount that these “copy-paste” artworks are sold at. He even reacted to a viral video of Jimmy Fallon and Paris Hilton chatting about the Bored Apes they purchased, brutally mocking the pair. “It’s really cool!’ No, it’s not. It’s not really cool. You’re an idiot.”

Here’s what Hasan further said, “The one good thing about art was that it was supposed to make you feel something. It was supposed to make you feel emotions, it’s supposed to be captivating. These apes are everything but that. All of these NFTs are so disgusting. It’s quite literally a copy-paste.”
Not only Hasan Piker, but Twitch’s prominent face Pokimane also showed her distaste towards NFTs, unable to figure out why people are going crazy over them. She called this new technology “cringe” and said: “It’s just so obvious when they’re (celebrities) only doing it for the bag.”
Despite the criticism, this new trend has taken the market by storm. However, streamer HasanAbi has made it quite clear that he isn’t into NFTs and won’t be buying one any time soon.
