iFerg, one of the top streamers of the Call of Duty: Mobile gaming scene, recently confirmed that another mobile version of the game is in the works and will be released soon. He further agreed that the a dedicated team assembled in the Activision studios is deep in work in developing the game. Given that the game will be developed using the Unreal Engine, it will pack some some heavy gameplay that will match the PC and Console level experience of Call of Duty: Mobile. Whether the game will introduce Warzone for mobile devices or add Modern Warfare 2019 mechanics is not yet confirmed, but the community has been rooting for a mobile version of the highly popular PC battle royale mode, Warzone.
According to Ferg, COD Mobile was actually built to test if the Call of Duty experience can truly be enjoyed on mobile devices. However, the unprecedented success that the mobile version has witnessed, indeed calls for a bigger and better COD experience on the platform, especially when multiplayer games in the world is going through tremendous growth. Something, big publishers like Krafton has already done by releasing PUBG: New State, a sequel to its biggest success known as PUBG Mobile.
Over the last one and a half years, there was a lot of rumors buzzing around that a mobile version of Warzone is in the works. Renowned leakers such as CODM Intel has been teasing updates. Things really graduated to a different level when Activision listed hiring for a new dedicated team. Nevertheless, with the Activision president himself revealing that the studio itself is working on another mobile version of the game, fans can now rest assured and wait patiently for the new game to drop.

Additionally, the Activision president had also revealed that there’s an opportunity to connect a Call of Duty mobile experience with the main Call of Duty games on console/PC. So the next installment of COD for mobile platform might also feature crossplay options with PC and Console players.

All that said, there’s still no official launch date or alpha testing period announced for the upcoming COD game. But first, Activision may reveal the actual title of the game which will confirm the in-game content as well as the gameplay category it is going to feature.
