Currently, Goblin is representing his team, SouL, in the ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS). The team have not been able to replicate their form so far. They are currently placed 3rd after 8 weekly finals match. However, they are known for their late surge in big competitions and are strong examples of the saying, “It’s not over until it’s over.”

How does LAN feel after the pandemic?

Actually, this is the second LAN after the pandemic.  I couldn’t take part in that due to health issues. This is my first BGMI LAN tournament. I will give my best no matter what. My team will also give their best. Having won the BMPS before this, we are also giving the same importance to this one. We give equal importance to all the competitions. We want to continue to keep on winning competitions going forward.

A LAN tournament without a live audience; does it take the pressure off or does it not make any difference?

For me, I prefer both LAN and Online. In the case of LAN, we won’t have enough time for our personal lives. There should be a balance between both so that we can have a social life as well.

How much pressure is on you to win after the first week’s performances?

It’s not like pressure, or something like that. In BMPS, we started slow, especially me. It’s known to all what exactly happened in the final three days.

If not BGMI, what game would you like to go pro in?

If not BGMI, I will go for CoD Mobile or something. I actually do not play any other game other than BGMI at the moment.

How do you feel Esports has grown in India? Is this the pinnacle or is there more left to achieve?

There’s more left to achieve. We have just had just a single season on TV. Previously, the broadcasts happened only on live streaming platforms like Loco, YouTube, etc. Now, it’s coming on TV. So, it’s just a start. The growth of Esports in India will only go upwards from here.

Which team is the biggest problem for you in BGMS?

There are no specific teams like that. We treat every team the same. Every team worked hard to be here. However, there are a few teams who play well like XO, and TSM. But we don’t fear anyone. We treat them equally. Personally, I feel NinjaJOD, Aqua, and Jonathan are the ones who can challenge for the MVP spot.

We wish SouL Goblin all the very best in his future endeavors.
