The Weekend announces the live broadcast of his latest album “Dawn FM” on Twitch- Amazon-owned platform Twitch is drawing a lot of attention in recent times and it has built a huge community. Big celebrities are thus being attracted towards the purple platform to try their hands at streaming and make use of the platform to get an edge with their content. Famous Canadian singer-songwriter Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, better known as The Weekend, disclosed that he would be premiering his latest album “Dawn FM” on live streaming platform Twitch.

The album “Dawn FM” goes public on 7th January 2022. Shortly before the official release, The Weekend revealed it would be live-streamed on Twitch, much to the delight of his fans. As per the Twitter post by The Weekend, fans get to enjoy the upcoming album on Twitch stream on 6th January from 9 Pm PT or 7th January from 12 AM ET.

This collaboration news was quite unexpected by his fans, as The Weekend comes with his new album after a wait of almost 2 years. Fans are more than happy to witness music Livestream on a scale this large and are hyping up the event via hilarious memes, exciting posts. The Twitter post also reveals the album will be broadcast live from “ somewhere in Los Angeles”. This hints, though not confirmed, that fans can expect guest appearances of artists such as Jim Carrey, Quincy Jones.

The Weekend’s Twitch move has taken everyone by surprise, but the presence of artists like Mike Shinoda of rock band Linkin Park and American R&B artist T-Pain on Twitch is not something new. Moreover, fans predict if “Dawn FM” does exceptionally well on the streaming platform, it will pave the way for more artists to explore Twitch on a different level.
