Riot Brazil has announced the format of Wild Rift Tour: Riot Games has just announced the format of the Wild Rift Tour for Brazilian players. Riot Brazil has announced the format of Wild Tour, joining COBOL (League of legends Brazilian League) they are now moving into a League Format. A 2-month league will kick off from 18th February, The prize has boasted to a stunning number of R$1.4 Million or around $250,000

Riot Games announces,

“It’s time to announce the next steps in the Wild Rift competitive scene in the country! As we’ve recently revealed, the Wild Rift Tour Brazil starts on February 18th, but the Open Qualifiers will take place between January 13th and 16th and January 20th and 23rd. Today, we’ll explain more about the format, the calendar, the awards, and all the details you most want to know. But before that, we have even bigger news: the championship will take place in person, at Riot Games studios, in São Paulo, on Fridays and Saturdays, from 7 pm.”

As with CBLOL and VCT BR, Wild Tour Brasil players will have the opportunity to face each other. The competition will feature 12 organizations – eight selected through the Open Qualifiers, joining the four that had the best performance in this year’s Wild Tour and helped us build the beginning of the scenario: TSM, Só Agradece, DreamMax, and Liberty.

The Open Qualifiers have a simple elimination format, with 512 places available for each one. The teams always face off in Md3 format (best of three games), until eight teams remain. This last dispute takes place in Md5 format. The four best-placed (in each one) win the right to dispute the Wild Tour Brasil.

Registration will open in the first week of January, following the schedule below:

  • Open Qualifier 1
    • Registration opening: 05/01 at 11 am
    • Closing of registration: 01/13 at 6:00 pm
    • Check-in: 1/13 from 6:00 pm to 6:50 pm
    • Tournament Days: 01/13 and 14 at 19:00, 01/15 and 16 at 14:00
  • Open Qualifier 2
    • Registration opening: 05/01 at 11 am
    • Closing of registrations: 01/20 at 6:00 pm
    • Check-in: 01/20 from 6:00 pm to 6:50 pm
    • Tournament Days: January 20th and 21st at 7pm, January 22nd and 23rd at 2pm

The 12 teams in the tournament will be divided into two groups of six teams each. Inside the bracket, they face each other back and forth, in Md3 format – in other words: each team plays 10 series in this phase. The top four in each group go to the playoffs.

The first place from Group A faces the fourth place from Group B, while the second place from Group A faces the third place from Group B – and vice versa, for both cases. The arrangement of the matches will be according to the image below. All series in the playoffs are Md5, with the exception of the grand final, held in Md7.

The total prize money for this stage of the Wild Tour Brasil will be R$ 1.4 million. The amount will be divided between the organizations as follows:
