PUBG MOBILE Esports, the most watched battle royale esports title, has announced that the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) Group Draw, as part of the Esports World Cup, will take place on Tuesday, June 25th. This crucial moment of the tournament will see the 24 qualifying teams split into three unique groups, where they’ll battle it out for a spot in the Main Tournament.
The Group Draw will see teams split evenly into Group Red, Green, and Yellow, where they’ll then fight for glory in their respective groups. A change to the usual Group Draw format will see more regions represented throughout each tournament stage. Each group is filled one at a time. If a group already consists of a majority of a team’s country, that team will then be placed in the next available group.
During the Group Stage, the top 12 teams across all groups will qualify directly to the Main Tournament, whilst the bottom 12 will join others from the regional PMSL events in the Survival Stage for a second chance.
