PUBG: Mobile is one of the most popular battle-royale games in the world and acquires a huge fan base of enthusiastic and professional gamers. To retain the integrity and maintain the gameplay of PUBG: Mobile, Krafton uses the BANPAN Anti-cheating system in order to get hold of all the accounts that use various kinds of cheats. This has already been a major problem for another popular title, Call of Duty: Warzone. Different hackers and griefers use different kinds of cheat codes to infiltrate into the game and degrade the quality of the game. Krafton recently released their BANPAN Anti-cheating report from October 29 till November 04, showcasing all the enhancements done in the game in terms of security and anti-cheating.
Krafton released the BANPAN Anti-cheating report through PUBG Mobile official twitter handle and it described all the details regarding what BANPAN anti-cheating system has done over the course of 5 days. In terms of banned cheats, the system banned 19% cheats used for modification of character model, 18% cheats for X-ray vision, 19% cheats for auto-aim hacks, 18% cheats for speed hacks, 17% cheats for modification of area damage and 9% cheats used for other purposes. Krafton also showcased the total number of accounts that have been permanently banned and the percentage of banned accounts from each tier. A total of 864,676 accounts have been banned by the BANPAN Anti-cheating system from which 48% is from Bronze tier, 10% from Silver and Crown tier, 9% from Diamond tier, 7% from Platinum, Gold and Ace tier and 2% from Conqueror tier.
PUBG Mobile generated over $1.5 billion gross revenue in just seven months and is very likely to hit the $2 billion mark in the coming month. Gross revenue generated by PUBG Mobile in July 2021 is the highest in the game’s history with China as the major contributor. Over 68% of the total revenue came from China and was followed by the United States and Turkey with 6.7% and 6% respectively.
