Pokemon Go becomes the eighth game to cross $5 billion in revenue(since 2014): Pokémon Go Fest 2021 earned £15.4m ($21m) in two days, according to numbers from app store analytics firm Sensor Tower. The game has hit the mark of $5 billion in revenue from the launch of the game. Last Saturday of weekend’s ticketed event was one of the most successful days for Pokemon Go since its stratospheric launch in July 2016, though was just pipped by the one-day Kanto Tour event earlier this year. (Across the weekend, Go Fest was still the clear winner.)

Pokemon Go becomes the eighth game that passed the $5 billion in lifetime revenue in total. This revenue covers in-game purchases and spendings. This data has been collected and announced by Sensor Tower, a data analyst firm. Pokemon Go is putting it on track for this year to be most profitable yet.

In recent reports, Action mobile games are getting popularity day by the day. Around one year ago, There was a time when Battle royale games are dominating all the charts but now things got changed. Genshin Impact, an action game from miHoYo becomes the top-grossing game of the U.S. in the first half of 2021. Player spending in Action genre mobile games in the United States grew by nearly 104 percent in H1 2021 when compared to H1 2020, Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates show, making it the fastest-growing genre during the first half of the year by revenue.

This is a huge success for the Pokemon Go app where the game growing bigger day by day since its release in 2016. Pokémon Go is a 2016 augmented reality mobile game developed and published by Niantic in collaboration with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for both iOS and Android devices.
