Over the weekend, the 2023 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) continued into Week Two with Group Red, the second Group Stage of the competition. Out of sixteen teams, Nongshim Redforce, Six to Eight and Morph triumphed to secure the group’s top three spots, qualifying for the upcoming PMGC 2023 Grand Finals in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Korean team Nongshim Redforce dominated Group Red this week, finishing in first place with 203 points. Their player XZY was named MVP for the group and racked up the highest damage score. This will be the first time in years that a Korean team has made it to the PMGC 2023 Grand Finals
Six to Eight and Morph followed in second and third place with 186 and 178 points respectively, clinching a spot in the Grand Finals. Duksan Esports proved to be the team to watch in Group Red. Despite a dip in performance in Days 2 and 3, they matched the record of three Chicken Dinners in a day on Day 4 and jumped all the way up the leaderboard to 5th place with 163 points.
Duksan, fourth-placed Nigma Galaxy, and other teams placing in the top 11, including FaZe Clan and INCO, will progress to the Survival Stage for another chance to make it to the Grand Finals
Intense Game, Next Ruya, Seventh Element, HAIL Esports, and Konina Power have been eliminated from the competition.
NS Redforce, Six to Eight, and Morph are now within reach of the title of PUBG MOBILE World Champion. They will compete in the PMGC 2023 Grand Finals on 8th-10th December for a share of the $3 million prize pool.
