It was the final Playoffs day of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang M3 World Championship 2021. There were three best-of-5 match series held which determined the Grand Finalists of the event. In the end, both the Filipino teams, ONIC PH and Blacklist International, were the ones who triumphed over their opponents and advanced to the Grand Finals. Here is how the last day of the Playoffs Stage rolled out. M3 Playoffs, M3 World Championship Finals, M3 Grand Finals, MLBB M3 Finals 2021

ONIC PH crushed BTK 3-0 to become the first team to advance into the Grand Finals

The first game went to ONIC PH who looked completely prepared for BTK’s aggressive playstyle. They outplayed BTK in team fights and punished their over-commitment. The second game also had the same story as ONIC PH continuously ganked BTK’s greedy late-game hero picks to gain a lead over them. They closed the second game after wiping out all BTK heroes. In the third match, ONIC went with a burst hero lineup that proved too much for BTK to counteract. The team fights were always close but it was ONIC who outclassed BTK and won the game.

With a 3-0 series win, ONIC PH becomes the first team to qualify for the Grand Finals of Mobile Legends Bang Bang M3 World Championship 2021. BTK dropper to the Lower Bracket where they had a chance to make a comeback.

Blacklist International make a statement by defeating EVOS SG by 3-0

In the first game, Blacklist snowballed with their perfect lineup of burst and tanky heroes. EVOS SG was not able to defend successfully as Blacklist won the game in the 10th minute. In the second game, Blacklist again picked a similar hero lineup like that of the first game while EVOS went for late-game hero picks. The result was similar as Blacklist won the game within 14 minutes with a 15-1 kill score. In the third game, EVOS tried something new with Faramis and Luo Yi. While it proved somewhat effective, Blacklist was able to shut down this tactic by playing a better macro game.

By winning this game also, they claimed the series 3-0 and Blacklist International advanced into the Lower Bracket Finals against BloodThirstyKings. EVOS SG ends their journey at the M3 World Championship with this defeat. They had a great run in this tournament and will get the 4th spot overall here.

Blacklist takes revenge on BTK by defeating them 3-1 and moving to the Grand Finals

The entire Mobile Legends community was shocked when BTK defeated Blacklist in the Upper Bracket before. But this time, Blacklist came prepared and looked for vengeance. The first match was quite close but Blacklist focused on BTK’s MobaZane and prevented him from catching up to their own damage dealers. This allowed Blacklist to close the game in their favor. The second game was a similar story, as Blacklist continuously picked off MobaZane to shut down BTK. This helped Blacklist to suffocate BTK heroes from farming and taking objectives. Although BTK tried to come back, it was Blacklist who ultimately won the game.

In the third game, BTK was able to play with better strategy and catch Blacklist off-guard many times. Especially MobaZane on his Roger timed his team fights perfectly. It helped BTK to tilt the game in their favor and win it. The fourth game was very close as both these teams won in team fights alternately. But Blacklist was able to catch BTK off-guard and punish them for it. From here, Blacklist dictated the pace and ultimately won the game.

BloodThirstyKings end their M3 World Championship campaign here and will be the 3rd place. Coming as a dark horse, they surprised critics and fans with their superb gameplay. With a 3-1 win, Blacklist International will advance into the Grand Finals to meet against their regional rivals Onic Philippines. Both these teams know each other very well and we will be looking to see who comes at the top to become the M3 World Champions 2021.
