LOL Wild Rift latest developers diary covers a regional open beta. The mobile version of world famous game League of Legends i.e., League of Legends Wild Rift starts its first ever closed beta testing for the SEA region on 18th October, tomorrow.

The closed beta region will be primarily based in SEA region and limited to Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. The official team states the reason as “Most of the regions in this test are geographically fairly close to one another, so we can focus on scale testing a smaller group of servers.”

LOL Wild Rift will enter the closed beta testing with a better and improved client. The game will have huge improvements in terms of game play as well as in-game cosmetics and customized layouts. The following changes will be implemented in the closed beta version:

· Tower damage and hit points are adjusted.

· Eight new champions are added, with more promised to come.

· Adjustments to skill-shot targeting for mid to long range skills.

· Added game skins and in-game currency.

· Movable layouts for scoreboards, player HUD and customization options for skill buttons and other settings.

· Added balanced ranked system.

The video also provided a proposed timeline for when other players around the world can expect to start playing League of Legends: LOL Wild Rift. During the first week of December they’re hoping to make the game available in:

  • Europe
  • Taiwan
  • Oceania
  • Vietnam

Indians will miss out on the beta testing but the Americans meanwhile will have to wait until Spring 2021. However, they were also very keen to point out any of this may change depending on how the game progresses in that time. Naturally, should anything change we’ll be sure to let you know.

Finally, they provided updates on what players in the closed beta can expect from the new patch that arrives in a week’s time. This includes the addition of Lee Sin and six other champions that will be available to try once the patch has rolled out. This includes:

  • Evelynn
  • Akali
  • Kai’Sai
  • Seraphine
  • Darius
  • Draven

LOL Wild Rift will eventually be heading to the App Store and Google Play It’s a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
