On Monday, Twitch banned the popular streamer at approximately 8:17 pm PST. He was watching clips on-stream for more than 40k viewers before ending the broadcast, which was when he was banned.
Hasan has been in the middle of an extended debate concerning the use of the word “cracker” during his Twitch streaming. His fans contend that the term is a “hateful slur” that should not be used. Upon hearing this, Hasan replied: “I have been called ‘cracker’ more times than every single one of you f**king pasty little cracker b*****s in my chat, okay?”

The suspension has not been explained in any official manner yet. The ban Hasan has received stems from his use of the word “cracker”. He writes: “It is, in fact, exactly what you expect it to be. Anti-white racism for using the term ‘cracker’.”

HasanAbi banned from Twitch for the third time over “cracker” controversy
A debate over whether the word “cracker” is a racial slur was opened on December 12, when Hasan laughed off calls to label it a slur. According to his opinion, there’s “no way” it’s a slur.
Piker responded to someone who told him to stop using the term: “Shut the f**k up.”. “Realize the person who is calling you a cracker is literally powerless. Sorry, that’s just the truth.
Hasan revealed several of his long-time Twitch moderators had been suspended for using the word “cracker” in his channel’s chat before his December ban was announced. He called Twitch’s decision “insane” and “underserved.”
He called Twitch an “absolutely insane” company when Twitch banned two of his mods for using the word. “One is black and the other brown. Does Twitch think crackers are a slur?” he asked.

Piker is one of the top Twitch streamers, having gained over 1.6 million followers and regularly reaching more than 50k subscribers a month.
Recent controversies have not been uncommon for the 30-year-old. His broadcasts frequently involve his opinions on political issues and Twitch dramas, including everything from Pokimane’s “blackface” accusations to the “drama farming” controversy, among others.
A large group of Twitch fans condemned Hasan for his alleged “hypocrisy” after he purchased a $2.74m Hollywood Hills mansion in August.
