The fans were really annoyed by Rockstar Games when they released the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition which turned out to be a huge blunder. One of the most hyped games of the year was GTA Trilogy Remastered. Rockstar fans had very high expectations with the game as the studio remastered the old GTA classics including GTA III, GTA Vice City and San Andreas. After its launch, it turned out to be a huge mess by Rockstar Games as the game was filled with glitches and bugs with extremely low-quality gameplay.

GTA Trilogy Remastered
The remasters were immediately pulled out from sale after the launch due to tons of glitches that messed up the game. Though Rockstar Games reacted quickly by apologizing to the fans and pushing rapid updates which significantly enhanced the gameplay. Recently, a popular Rockstar insider, Ben Turpin, spotted that GTA Trilogy Remastered will be available on next-gen consoles only for Xbox consoles. This denotes that PlayStation users who are upgrading from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 won’t be able play GTA Trilogy Remastered on their latest console. However, Xbox users can play the game after upgrading to the next-gen consoles.

Ben Turpin – GTA Trilogy Remastered
Ben Turpin said, “Everyone can finally buy a physical version of the GTA Trilogy Remastered in most retail stores – but there’s a catch. You can’t upgrade to the PS5 version if you decide to pick up the physical version. I strongly advise against buying it until the game is improved with more patches.” Rockstar Games still haven’t revealed anything about this decision and why the game is not available for PlayStation users. Many believe that the relationship between Sony and Rockstar Games may not be on good terms and is ultimately depriving next-gen PlayStation users from playing GTA Trilogy Remastered.
