Game Director of Valorant Joe Ziegler Announced his Departure from Riot Games Development Team: Joe Ziegler, the game director for Valorant, has announced his departure from Riot Games’ development team. Andy Ho, a senior director on Valorant, will take up the game direction responsibility, according to Ziegler. “I won’t be far from the team,” Zeigler said, “and they’ll always have my support.”
Joe Ziegler announced his departure from the Valorant development team in a December 30, 2021 release.
“I come to you today with the news with a heart full of gratitude and tremendous delight,” he wrote. “I’m handing over the title of Game Director of tactical shooter Valorant to my good friend Andy Ho after eight years working on Valorant, building it from the ground up with a team of dedicated and passionate developers who have worked tirelessly to serve you all with the respect and admiration that You guys deserve.”

Since the first-person shooter’s closed beta, Ziegler has been the game director for VALORANT. But he’s been so lot more for Riot Games’ FPS. Ziegler has been with Riot Games since 2010, and he’ll be staying on to work on an unnamed project. He began his career at the studio as a game designer before being promoted to senior game director in April of this year (according to his LinkedIn). He’s also credited with coming up with the game’s initial concept, which began development in 2014.
