Elden Ring is the upcoming action role-playing game by Bandai Namco, which was first revealed in the third quarter of 2019. The game is under development by FromSoftware with the collaborative effort between the world renowned fantasy novelist George R.R Martin and the game director Hidetaka Miyazaki. A recent tweet from Elden Ring revealed that the release date has been delayed and developers will test the game in a closed network.

Launch date of the Elden Ring is relatively closer than what everyone was expecting. It isn’t making it out in 2021 but the game will finally launch on February 25, 2022 which was initially January 21 when the game was revealed. The announcement trailer really gives off some Dark Souls Vibes and Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director of Elden Ring confirmed that the gameplay is heavily based on the Soul series. The Game will be a third person open-world dark fantasy RPG and will also feature music from Dark Souls 3and the Sekiro composer Yuka Kitamura.

The gameplay trailer revealed several things about Elden Ring’s world. There will be weather and a time system in the world. The world is divided into six main areas, which will consist of their own bosses and dungeons. Fans will find very similar combat styles and animations. Spellcasting, backstabbing, dodging and rolling are very familiar with previous Souls games. The players will be able to interchange skills among all kinds of weapons and can also jump and fight on a horseback.

Elden Ring has also confirmed that it will feature co-op for up to four players. Players can summon their friends for co-op and like the Souls games, they will appear as phantoms. Fans are already excited to experience what Elden Ring offers when the game releases next year.
