Fortnite was released in 2017. In the last five years, it has embedded itself as one of the best games featuring several million active gamers across the globe. The popularity of the game has increased with each day. Gamers who have not tried it out can access it through their gaming devices. However, often several gamers face difficulties accessing the game since it is not available on their devices. One such popular device is Mac. The unavailability of Fortnite across Mac devices has certainly disappointed gamers. While they were hoping for some positive news, the recent revelation has left them stranded with no hope whatsoever.

Fortnite: Apple terminated Epic Games contract regarding Fortnite on Mac

A Fortnite enthusiast recently took to Twitter to express his disappointment regarding the unavailability of Fortnite on Mac devices. The fan tagged Tim Sweeney and inquired if anyway a playable link for a Mac device can be obtained. It was also pointed out that having such an expensive device is useless unless one can enjoy gaming with friends.

Tim Sweeney not only replied to the query but also revealed a piece of shocking information to the public. The COO revealed that Epic Games had the access to develop Fortnite for Mac devices. However, the Epic v Apple lawsuit changed the entire scenario drastically. Apparently, Apple has terminated the contract and Epic Games no longer holds the authority to develop Fortnite for Mac devices.

The Epic v Apple was a major lawsuit involving two of the biggest organizations. Although the verdict was given several months back, Epic Games and Apple are yet to reach an agreement in the affair. As a result of which Fortnite is not accessible via the App Store and on Mac devices. As things stand, it is not certain as to when players will get the game. The recent revelation from Tim Sweeney reveals that there hasn’t been any progress so far and it is not certain if it would happen in the near future.
