Fortnite 17.40 update: Like the 17.20 update in Fortnite, the upcoming 17.40 update will also bring some significant changes in Season 7. There has been a lot of speculation regarding the update and Fortnite fans can contain their excitement. The 17.40 update will be one of the biggest updates yet and is coming to Fortnite on August 17, 2021. The update will introduce new skins, POIs and cosmetics.

According to popular leaker FortniteINTEL, Players can expect a collaboration between Fortnite and the popular game, Among Us. The tweet by FortnieINTEL reveals a mid-sized cafeteria and also mentions Among Us is the text. It is also speculated that various in-game files known as “MoleTask” contain several locations and names of different rooms from Among Us like Electrical, Office and much more. The update 17.40 will also introduce a new game mode, which will be based on Among Us and will be known as the “Imposter” mode.
Fortnite 17.40 update will also work on fixes that are currently present in the game. One of the biggest issues was not being able to open a cosmic chest, if one of the team members leaves the match without any notice. According to twitter leaker, XtigerHyperX, the upcoming update 17.40 is expected to be double the size of previous update, 17.30. Fortnite will also welcome back the corrupted legends pack through the 17.40 update and will be available till the end of August. All information till now is still based on leaks and may be subject to change. Players will be able to download the update 17.40, when it goes live on 17th August, 2021.
