The semifinals of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 is set to kick off on 4th October. A total of 32 teams will compete in the semifinals to qualify for the finals. TWM Gaming is one of the qualified teams who made it through the amazing performance in the quarterfinals. IGL of TWM Gaming got candid in an exclusive interview with InsideSport recently, where he spoke about the team’s aim to win the event, among other things.
1. Congratulations on qualifying for the semifinals of BGIS 2023. How does it feel to stand out among such strong competition?
Thank you so much! It feels amazing to have qualified for the semifinal of BGIS 2023, which is slated to be an epic event. We worked hard and practiced a lot to get where we are today. We faced some tough opponents, but our teamwork and practice helped us come out as one of the top teams have made it to the near-final stages of India’s biggest Esports tournament. We are very proud of our achievement and grateful for the support from our fans. We hope to continue the momentum in the upcoming rounds.

2. What are your strengths and weaknesses as a team?
I think our strengths are our teamwork, communication, and adaptability. We always coordinate our strategies, adjust to different situations, and have grown to become an aggressive team. Our weakness is probably patience. Sometimes we get too aggressive and make mistakes. We are working on improving this factor.
3. As an IGL, How do you deal with days when things don’t go as planned?
Being a leader is a responsibility that comes with a fair bit of stress. My strategy is to always try to do what’s best for the team and get us the chicken dinner. But I know I’m not perfect and sometimes things don’t go as planned. When that happens, I don’t let it affect me too much. I learn from my mistakes, take a break, and move on to the next match.
4. TWM Gaming has been consistently performing well. What is the preparation for the upcoming competition in BGIS 2023?
We are preparing for the upcoming rounds by studying our opponents, analyzing our own performance, and practicing new tactics. We also make sure to take care of our physical and mental health by eating well, sleeping enough, and having fun.
5. The BGIS 2023 tournament featured a total of 6 rounds of matches. How do you stay motivated and focused during a long tournament?
A long tournament like BGIS 2023 is a challenge, but also an opportunity. We stay motivated and focused by setting small goals for each round, celebrating our wins, and learning from our losses. It also helps that there is ample resting time between various rounds. It helps us recharge and put our best foot forward in every match. We also support each other as a team and encourage each other to do our best
