Google Play, the official app store for Android devices, has updated its policy to allow blockchain-based digital content within apps and games. This means that developers will now be able to create and sell NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, through their apps. Players can also get a chance to play NFT games after Google Play Store allows it.
NFTs are unique digital assets that can be used to represent ownership of in-game items, artwork, or other digital goods. They have become increasingly popular in recent years, and this update from Google Play is a sign that the company is taking NFTs seriously.

Mr. Bharat Patel, Chairman and Director, Yudiz Solutions Ltd. said on Google Play Store allowing NFT Games
“Google play store’s decision to officially allow NFT games will have a huge impact on the mobile gaming industry. This decision will contribute to the 33% CAGR of the NFT gaming market, which was already starting to gain momentum. It has been witnessed that more than 40% of crypto enthusiasts and investors are ready to invest in the NFT gaming market. Of course, the authorities will need to properly evaluate the scalability of the market segment and regulate the whole market scenario efficiently for the users”.
In order to protect users, Google Play has put in place a number of restrictions on how blockchain-based digital content can be used. For example, apps cannot promote or glamorize any potential earnings from playing or trading activities. Additionally, apps that sell or enable users to earn tokenized digital assets must clearly declare this to users.
The update from Google Play is a significant step forward for the NFT industry. It will allow developers to create more innovative and engaging experiences for users, and it will help to legitimize NFTs as a legitimate form of digital property.
