Dead by Daylight Mobile removed from Google Play Store and App Store within 15 days of its inception – The mobile version of the survival horror title, Dead by Daylight has been removed by the Government of India after the title was found breaching terms and conditions as it was linked with Chinese firms. The title was only released a couple of weeks back and its connection with Chinese entities forced MeiTY to react quickly and remove it due to privacy issues. We have previously seen popular Battle Royale titles getting banned due to similar reasons. For future updates on Garena Free Fire and Free Fire MAX, follow InsideSport.IN
Dead by Daylight Mobile is s multiplayer 4v1 horror and action game developed by NetEase, a Chinese company. Over the last couple of years, we have been seeing GOI banning games linked to Chinese servers due to server issues. Hence, it was only a matter of time before the title received the removal notice. Gamers seem to wonder why Chinese apps are being banned by GOI. The main reason is that the Chinese Government has a policy with Chinese Companies of saving the personal information of the users and sharing it with the Government.

Dead by Daylight Mobile Statement
Meanwhile, Dead by Daylight Mobile released a long statement on its social media handles reiterating the current situation.
” We are committed to providing a unique mobile horror experience to our global audience while also complying with regional regulations. To stay in line with the interim order from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in India, we will be removing Dead by Daylight Mobile from the storefronts. Once it is removed, players in India will no longer be able to access and play Dead by Daylight Mobile. “
The statement further added, “We are grateful for your support and provide further updates on the status of Dead by Daylight Mobile in India when possible.”
It’s understandable for the gaming community in India that no games linked with a Chinese server can make any impact. Hence, they should try out games from different countries that won’t have any threats of privacy issues.
