The title was banned last year from all virtual stores with the Government of India citing security concerns. More than a year has gone by and Garena is yet to release any official statement of a possible unban. However, one of respected individuals in the community, Shiva Nandy shared his thoughts on Garena Free Fire after making comments on Battlegrounds Mobile India. There has been rumors around the possible return of Garena Free Fire for quite some time however, things didn’t materialize. Recently, Skyesports founder Shiva Nandy made a massive claim on BGMI return, saying, ” BGMI Will be back anytime in April Or May 2023. ” Following this statement, Free Fire community seemed to wonder whether Garena Free Fire would be back or not. Finally, he shared his thoughts on the possible return of the title.

In an Instagram story, Shiva Nandy said, ” It seems that Garena is making a strong effort to bring back Free Fire in India and is just a few steps closer. BGMI is also set to comeback anytime soon. With games like BGMI, Free Fire, Counter Strike, Pokemon Unite, Valorant, Indian ESports Industry is poised to reach new heights. ”
