14th July 2023, Battlegrounds Mobile India posted the BGIS 2023 Rise Up teaser on their official handles and announce the BGIS Season 2, However, the date is not given in the teaser, but players can expect it later in July 2023.
Before the BGIS, the official scrims are going to happen, that is, BGIS THE GRIND, same as in season 1. According to sources, BGIS Season 2: The Grind is scheduled to kick off on July 20, 2023.
BGIS Format
BGIS Season 2 will most likely follow the same format as Season 1. All players will have the opportunity to participate in the event through In-game Qualifiers, and it will proceed round by round. Underdog teams and players have a great opportunity to bring their A-game and show everyone what they are capable of in the BGIS Season 2 Rise Up.
The inaugural season of BGIS proved to be extremely spectacular and entertaining, and India received a slot in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship in 2021 based on BGIS Season 1. There is a better chance that India will get a slot in PMGC 2023 this year, as there are three special invites available in PMGC 2023, and in the ongoing PMWI 2023 tournament, English casters are also discussing the PMGC slot for India, so there is a good chance for teams to win BGIS Season 2 and get a PMGC invite.
BGIS 2021
BGIS 2021 was won by Team Skylight Gaming, followed by Team TSM, Team XO, and Team Tam Godlike, which secured 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions in the points table. Team Godlike Player Neyoo won the MVP award of the inaugural season.

- Semi-Finals – 24 teams
- Grand Finals – 16 Teams
BGIS Season 2 Rise Up will likely have the same format as this, but it has not been confirmed yet. The format may change this year. The BGIS Season 2 Rise Up teaser is making waves in the Indian gaming community, and hopefully, we will get to see the first official event of BGMI after its Unban.
