eFootball PES 2022: Konami renames PES 2022 as eFootball and it will be free-to-play, trailer featuring Lionel Messi revealed: eFootball PES 2022 – Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) has been officially renamed to eFootball by Konami. Previously Konami used to call the game PES in the west and Winning Eleven in Japan but that name has been discarded and eFootball will be used globally. It will be a free-to-play game and will be coming to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Series One, PS5, PS4 and PC. Android and iOS versions of the game have also been confirmed by Konami. It is worth noting that Lionel Messi is the brand ambassador of eFootball PES 2022 and recently it was also announced that Neymar will also be the ambassador for PES 2021.

Konami confirmed that eFootball is coming this autumn with a lot of advancements in the gameplay and graphical animations as well. They have released the revealed trailer of eFootball, which features star players like Lionel Messi, Andreas Iniesta and Gerard0 Pique.
Konami has used state of the art Xsens suits to gather motion capturing data and focuses on improving one-on-one duels and realistic player movements. Konami has built a customized Unreal Engine 4 to revamp the animations and game controls.

eFootball PES 2022: Konami aims to take Football eSports to the next level and achieve a much broader player base. eFootball will be available to play on multiple devices and the game is free-to-play. eFootball will also feature cross-platform play so that players can enjoy the game with any device of their choice. This feature will be coming soon after eFootball releases. Konami has also revealed loads of new modes, features and events that will be released from time to time.
Konami formed a Roadmap where in early autumn they will roll out the game with 9 renowned clubs to start with. In late autumn, eFootball will feature online leagues and also introduce the cross-platform feature. In the winter, Konami plans to organize an eSports Tournament and will also introduce cross-platform matches and Mobile controller support for Android and iOS players.
