Call of Duty League lost sponsorship from U.S. Army and ASTRO Gaming amid harassment lawsuit

Call of Duty League: According to recent reports, two of the biggest sponsors of the Call of Duty League, ASTRO Gaming and the U.S Army has ended their relation with Activision Blizzard eSports division. This seems to be the biggest impact Activision Blizzard faced after being sued over a harassment lawsuit. Previously, T-mobile, a major sponsor of the COD League, also ended their sponsorship. It was also influenced by the recent sexual harassment lawsuit that was filed against Activision Blizzard by the state of California.

There were a lot of sponsors in the COD League that included USAA Insurance, ASTRO Gaming, Game Fuel, U.S Army, SCUF Gaming, Google Cloud and Zenni Gaming. Most of the sponsor logos are displayed on their website. The ASTRO Gaming and U.S Army logos are now vanished from the COD League website which used to appear on the left of ZENNI Gaming logo. The COD League now only has four sponsors, which includes USAA Insurance, Game Fuel, SCUF and ZENNI Gaming.

ASTRO Gaming had a very long relationship with Activision and the company was the Official headset sponsor of the Call of Duty Challengers and COD League. ASTRO Gaming was also sponsored the Call of Duty League MVP Award.Back in 2020, Activision initially announced that ASTRO Gaming would extend its sponsorship of Call of Duty eSports till 2022 season. While, the U.S Army just started sponsoring the Call of Duty League from season 2020. Both of them have now revoked their sponsorship ties and Activision Blizzard has clearly declined to comment.
