The Call of Duty series is one of the best first-person action games out there and fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming Call of Duty title that is expected to release in 2022. After a lot of speculation regarding Call of Duty 2022, an internal leak by NVIDIA has created a buzz in the gaming community as it suggests that the upcoming title from Activision is set to be a sequel of the popular COD Modern Warfare series. Recently, Tom Henderson, a popular leaker confirmed via twitter that the upcoming Call of Duty will be titled as ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’.

Many leakers and players on Reddit noticed that a back-end server of the NVIDIA’s GeForce technology site revealed the names of several hundreds of games that are being tested in the servers. This long list of games included both announced as well as unannounced games. Users noticed “Project Cortez” on the NVIDIA list which was published by Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward. Activision still hasn’t commented anything on their upcoming COD 2022 title and is not expected to announce anything until the mid of 2022.

Though it is most likely that Project Cortez will be the successor of COD: Modern Warfare 2019 but fans should take this information with a grain of salt as nothing is official till now and might be subject to change at later stages. As per the title goes, fans are all excited to take a glimpse of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
